Product Information

Full details

The Troy Lee Designs Flowline Long Sleeve Jersey is engineered for young mountain bike riders who need a balance of comfort and durability on the trail. Its key strength lies in the moisture-wicking TLD Dura Knit fabric, which keeps riders dry during intense activity, though the material is best suited for milder to warm climates rather than extreme winter weather.

FAQs

Is this jersey suitable for summer riding?

Yes, the TLD Dura Knit fabric is lightweight and highly breathable, making it ideal for warm weather.

Does this jersey provide protection against crashes?

It provides basic abrasion resistance from brush and dirt, but it is not a substitute for dedicated hard-shell or soft-shell body armor.

Can I wear elbow pads under the sleeves?

The sleeves are designed with a standard athletic cut that accommodates most lightweight mountain bike elbow pads.

How do I ensure I get the right size?

Refer to the Troy Lee Designs size chart, focusing primarily on chest circumference and arm length for an optimal fit.

Is the fabric prone to shrinking?

The jersey is made from synthetic technical fibers that are resistant to shrinking, provided you follow the cold-water wash and air-dry instructions.

Troubleshooting

Fabric snagged on a branch

Trim loose threads carefully with fabric scissors; do not pull them, as this can cause the knit structure to unravel.

Jersey feels damp and holds sweat

Ensure you are not using fabric softener in the wash, as this clogs the moisture-wicking pores of the Dura Knit fabric.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Lightweight and breathable construction
Excellent moisture-wicking capabilities
Drop-tail design prevents exposed skin while riding
High-durability fabric prevents premature wear
Sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing

Cons

Limited to warm or moderate weather performance
Requires specific care for technical fabrics
Loose fit may not suit riders preferring aero-style gear

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Because this is a technical jersey, proper care is essential to maintain its moisture-wicking properties. Machine wash in cold water using a mild, non-bleach detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can coat the fibers and inhibit the wicking effect. It is highly recommended to air dry the jersey; if you must use a dryer, select the lowest heat setting to prevent fiber degradation. The jersey is compatible with standard body armor and youth-sized protective gear underneath for those riders tackling more advanced terrain.
