Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Identify secure anchor points on your vehicle or trailer and on the item being secured. These should be structurally sound points capable of handling the load's weight and forces.
- Attach one vinyl-coated steel hook to an anchor point.
- Thread the strap through the ratchet mechanism. Ensure the mechanism is in the "lock" position before applying tension.
- Pull the strap through the mechanism to remove slack.
- Operate the ratchet handle to tighten the strap. Continue ratcheting until the desired tension is achieved. The strap should be taut but not so tight that it damages the load or the strap itself.
- Once tensioned, ensure the ratchet handle is in a safe, out-of-the-way position. The strap is now secured.
Compatibility:
These straps are compatible with most standard trailer anchor points, vehicle tie-down loops, and other secure structural elements. The 50mm width is suitable for a wide range of load securing applications, from equipment to cargo. They are ideal for use with flatbed trailers, utility trailers, pickup trucks, and recovery vehicles.
Care:
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the straps for any signs of wear, fraying, cuts, or damage to the webbing, stitching, or hooks before each use. Discontinue use immediately if any damage is found.
- Cleaning: Clean the straps with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and allow the straps to air dry completely before storing. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents, as they can degrade the strap material.
- Storage: Store the straps in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and sharp objects. Ensure they are neatly coiled or rolled to prevent tangling and damage.
