FAQs
What is the weight capacity of this cabinet?
While intended for standard media devices, it is built with robust steel; however, always ensure the total weight does not exceed the structural limits of your flooring.
Does this cabinet come pre-assembled?
The product typically arrives for assembly. Please consult the included manual for specific step-by-step instructions.
Can I use this for something other than a TV?
Yes, its industrial aesthetic makes it an excellent choice for a nightstand or a small storage unit in a home office or mudroom.
Is the steel frame prone to rust?
As long as the unit is kept in a dry, indoor environment and the surface finish remains intact, it will resist rust effectively.
Are the dimensions accurate?
Yes, the unit is 60.5 cm in height, 68 cm in width, and 39 cm in depth.
Troubleshooting
The cabinet feels unstable on the floor
Check if the floor is level; if not, use small shims under the steel frame corners to stabilize the unit.
The drawers feel stiff when opening
Ensure the cabinet is perfectly level. If the frame is slightly torqued, the metal drawers may drag against the housing.
Surface marks or fingerprints appear
Wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth. Do not use harsh solvents as they may strip the finish.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Durable all-steel construction provides long-term stability
- Effective combination of open and closed storage spaces
- Compact design suitable for bedrooms or smaller living areas
- Extremely easy to wipe down and maintain
- Bold yellow color provides a unique design statement
Cons
- Bright yellow finish may be difficult to match with some existing decor
- Does not include cable management ports for integrated wiring
- Smaller width may not accommodate very large wide-screen TVs
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting up the VidaXL 846551 is straightforward due to its solid-state construction. Ensure the cabinet is placed on a flat, level surface to prevent wobbling, as the steel frame does not feature adjustable leveling feet. Regarding compatibility, the 68 cm width is ideal for TVs with central pedestals or small-to-medium bases; ensure your TV base fits within these parameters. For care, avoid using abrasive chemical cleaners or steel wool pads, as these can scratch the painted finish. A soft cloth dampened with water or a mild, non-corrosive detergent is sufficient to keep the unit clean.
