The Polar Ice Chippings are designed for homeowners and professional landscapers looking to elevate their outdoor aesthetics with a modern, clean finish. This 20mm aggregate blend of white dolomite and grey marble offers a distinct visual appeal with subtle light blue undertones that provide a premium look to paths, driveways, and rockeries. While the angular shape provides excellent structural stability, users should note that the stones will naturally deepen in color when wet, which may create a different appearance than expected when dry.

Coverage depends on the depth of the application, but generally, one bulk bag is designed for large-scale projects; check your specific site dimensions against the bag volume to calculate exact requirements.
Yes, the 20mm angular nature of these chippings makes them suitable for driveways as they lock together to provide a stable surface.
The stones will deepen in color when they are wet, which is a natural property of the dolomite and marble materials.
Minimal maintenance is required; occasionally raking the area helps maintain a neat appearance and keeps the stones evenly distributed.
The chippings are ready to be laid upon arrival, though rainfall will naturally clean the stones and reveal their true color profile shortly after installation.
Ensure a proper sub-base of compacted MOT Type 1 is installed beneath a geotextile membrane to provide structural support.
Verify that a weed-suppressant fabric was used during installation; if weeds appear, they are likely rooting in surface debris and can be easily pulled.
To ensure the longevity of your Polar Ice Chippings, proper preparation is essential. Begin by clearing the desired area of existing vegetation and debris. Lay down a high-quality, permeable geotextile membrane before spreading the stones; this prevents the aggregate from sinking into the subsoil and acts as a secondary barrier against weed growth. Distribute the chippings evenly using a rake to achieve a consistent depth. No specialized cleaning is required, though occasional light raking can help refresh the surface if debris accumulates. The material is chemically stable and will not degrade under standard weather conditions.
