European Hook Up Adapter - 16 Amp

This adapter is rated for a maximum of 16 amps.

No, this adapter does not convert voltage. You must ensure your appliance is compatible with the local European voltage (typically 230V) or is designed for dual voltage use (100-240V).

This adapter is designed for use with standard 2-pin European sockets (e.g., Type C, Type F). It is not compatible with 3-pin sockets or sockets in countries with different plug standards.

The adapter features a splash-proof design, offering protection against water splashes. However, it should not be submerged in water or used in heavy rain. Always ensure connections are protected from excessive moisture.

BS1363-1 is the British Standard for 13-amp plugs and sockets. Compliance indicates that the UK plug end of the adapter meets the safety and performance requirements set by this standard.

This adapter converts to a 2-pin EU plug, which typically does not accommodate an earth connection. It is best suited for appliances that do not require earthing or are double-insulated.

Ensure the UK appliance is switched on and properly plugged into the adapter. Verify that the adapter is fully inserted into the European socket. Check if the European socket is functioning by testing with another device. Confirm your appliance is compatible with European voltage (230V).

Check that both the appliance plug and the adapter's EU plug are securely seated. Ensure the European socket is not worn or damaged.

Some warmth is normal for high-power devices. However, if the adapter becomes excessively hot, unplug it immediately. This could indicate an overload or a faulty appliance. Ensure the appliance does not exceed the 16-amp limit.

Inspect the adapter's casing for cracks or damage. If the casing is compromised, discontinue use immediately due to potential safety hazards.
