Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure a successful installation, first cut your pipe square using a pipe cutter—avoid using a hacksaw if possible, as it may leave rough edges that damage the internal seals. Once cut, you must deburr the end of the pipe and ensure it is free from scratches or debris. Insert the pipe firmly into the fitting until you feel it hit the internal stop.
This fitting is compatible with standard metric pipe sizes. While it is low-maintenance, it is recommended to periodically inspect accessible joints for any signs of weeping. If a system is left unused for long periods, check the integrity of the seals upon reactivation. Avoid using chemical pipe dopes or lubricants not approved for use with plastic push-fit systems, as these can degrade the rubber seals over time.
