Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the jump starter is fully charged before first use. Connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive terminal of the *dead* battery, and the negative (black) clamp to the negative terminal of the *dead* battery. Important: Connect to the *dead* battery first, then to the vehicle's chassis or engine block (grounding point), away from the battery. Once connected, select the appropriate voltage (12V or 24V) using the rotary switch. Attempt to start the vehicle. Once started, disconnect the clamps in the reverse order: chassis/engine block first, then negative terminal, then positive terminal. Always ensure spark-free connection by using the rotary switch correctly.
Compatibility: This unit is designed for 12V and 24V vehicle systems, suitable for engines up to 5L diesel and 8L petrol. It is compatible with most cars, vans, trucks, and agricultural vehicles within these specifications.
Care: Store the jump starter in a cool, dry place. Keep the clamps clean and free from corrosion. Regularly check the battery charge level and recharge as needed using the supplied smart charger. Avoid dropping the unit or exposing it to extreme temperatures. Periodically inspect the cables and casing for any signs of damage. The supplied 15V 3A smart charger should be used for maintenance charging to prolong battery life.
