Designed for both professional contractors and dedicated DIY enthusiasts, these Ecoscape colour-coded screws provide a secure, long-lasting fixing solution that maintains the visual integrity of your composite decking or cladding installation. While they offer an exceptional aesthetic finish by blending seamlessly with brown boards, users must ensure they have a No.2 Square Bit on hand, as this specific tool is required for proper installation and to prevent damage to the screw head.

You must use a No.2 Square Bit. Using a different bit type will likely damage the screw head.
These are specifically designed for composite decking and cladding where aesthetics and thread pitch are optimized for synthetic materials.
While often not strictly necessary for every board, pre-drilling is highly recommended when driving screws near the ends of boards to prevent splitting.
They are designed for external use with high resistance to environmental factors, though consistent care helps prolong their appearance.
These screws are 63mm in length, which is the standard size for most composite decking applications.
Ensure you are using the correct No.2 Square Bit and that the bit is fully seated in the screw head before applying pressure.
Reduce your drill speed or consider pre-drilling a small pilot hole to relieve pressure in the composite material.
Check that the drill torque is sufficient to drive the screw home without over-tightening.
To begin installation, ensure your drill is set to a low-to-medium torque setting to avoid stripping the square head. You must use a No.2 Square Bit; using a standard Phillips or flathead screwdriver will result in damage to the screw's recess and improper seating. Periodically inspect your deck annually to ensure no screws have backed out due to thermal expansion and contraction. Keep the screws stored in a dry environment prior to use to maintain the integrity of the colour coating.
