Full details

The TRANSLUCENT SOUNDS Light Speaker is for anyone seeking a portable speaker that combines exceptional audio with captivating aesthetics. Its key benefit is the unique 360° sound diffusion within a striking glass design that also lights up your space, creating an inviting atmosphere. A minor caveat is its reliance on Bluetooth or mini-jack for primary audio input, though battery life is robust. This speaker offers clear, crisp audio, ambient lighting synced to sound, and versatile connectivity, all within a durable, weather-sealed aluminum and glass construction, making it a standout piece for both indoor and outdoor use.

FAQs

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

The TRANSLUCENT SOUNDS Light Speaker offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a full charge, depending on volume and lighting usage.

Can I control the light color or brightness independently?

The lighting system is designed to react to sound vibrations and create an ambient glow. There are no separate controls for color or brightness; the effect is dynamic and tied to the audio playback.

Is the speaker waterproof?

The speaker is sealed against weather and dust, making it suitable for use by the pool or on the beach. However, it is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged in water.

How do I connect two Light Speakers for stereo sound?

To pair two speakers for stereo sound, ensure both speakers are powered on and connected to your Bluetooth source device. Follow the specific stereo pairing instructions, which usually involve pressing a button on one of the speakers to initiate the link between the two.

What is the warranty period for the Light Speaker?

Please refer to the product packaging or the manufacturer's official website for detailed warranty information, as this can vary by region and retailer.

Can I use the speaker while it's charging?

Yes, the Light Speaker can be used while connected to a USB power source. This is a convenient option if the battery runs low or for extended listening sessions.

What are the dimensions of the speaker?

The speaker measures Ø 10.5 x H 16 cm. The height increases to H 21.4 cm when the handle is extended.

Troubleshooting

Speaker does not turn on

Ensure the speaker is adequately charged. Connect it to the power supply using the provided USB cable and try again. Check that the power cable is securely connected to both the speaker and the power source.

Bluetooth connection is unstable or fails to connect

Ensure your source device is within range (approx. 10 meters/33 feet). Turn off Bluetooth on other nearby devices that might interfere. Reset the speaker's Bluetooth connection by turning it off and on again. Try forgetting the 'Light Speaker' on your source device and re-pairing.

No sound output

Verify that the volume is turned up on both the speaker (if applicable) and your source device. If using Bluetooth, ensure it's connected. If using the mini-jack, ensure the cable is fully inserted into both the speaker and the source device. Test with a different audio source or cable.

Lighting effects are not working

Ensure the lighting function is activated (if there's a separate control). The lights are designed to sync with sound vibrations; try playing audio at a moderate to high volume to observe the effect. If no light appears at all, check the speaker's power level and consider resetting the device.

Poor bass performance

While the passive radiator enhances bass, optimal performance is achieved at moderate to higher volumes. Ensure the speaker is placed on a stable surface. Experiment with speaker placement; proximity to walls or corners can sometimes enhance bass perception.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Unique and visually stunning transparent design with integrated lighting effects.
  • Excellent 360-degree sound dispersion fills any space evenly.
  • Durable, weather-resistant construction suitable for outdoor use.
  • Long battery life (up to 10 hours) for extended portability.

Cons

  • Sound quality, while clear, may not satisfy audiophiles seeking deep bass or extreme clarity.
  • Lighting effects, while atmospheric, are tied to sound vibrations and not independently controllable.
  • Portability, though enhanced by the handle, is dependent on battery life.
  • Requires a separate device for music playback via Bluetooth or mini-jack.
  • No dedicated app for advanced audio or lighting customization.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure the speaker is charged using the supplied USB or mains power cable.
  2. To pair via Bluetooth, turn on the speaker and activate Bluetooth on your source device. Select 'Light Speaker' from the list of available devices.
  3. For wired connections, plug a 3.5 mm audio cable into the mini-jack input on the speaker and your audio source.
  4. To pair two speakers for stereo, ensure both are on and connected via Bluetooth. Follow the specific pairing instructions for stereo mode, typically involving a button press on one speaker.

Compatibility:

  • Bluetooth: Compatible with devices supporting Bluetooth 5.0 or earlier (smartphones, tablets, computers).
  • Wired: Supports any audio source with a 3.5 mm audio output (e.g., MP3 players, older audio devices, TVs).

Care:

  • Clean the aluminum and glass surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the glass or damage the seals.
  • Ensure the USB port and mini-jack input are dry before connecting cables.
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Periodically check the seals around the base and top for any damage to maintain weather resistance.
