Setup, Compatibility & Care
When you receive your 9cm pot, plant it in well-draining soil to ensure the roots do not sit in water, which is the primary cause of decline for this species. If planting in containers, ensure there are adequate drainage holes. While catmint is drought tolerant once mature, keep the plant watered during its first few weeks of transition. To encourage a potential second flush of flowers, shear the plant back by about one-third once the initial blooms begin to fade. Aside from occasional deadheading, this plant requires minimal intervention and is largely pest-free.
