Full details

Famous Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld originally launched the iconic crate collection in 1984. This relaunch is a collaboration between Hay and Rietveld Originals, respecting the genius original design. The Crate Lounge Chair has precisely balanced proportions with a gently sloping back for comfort and armrests offering great support. This is a lower version of the dining chair, ideal for a relaxed outdoor experience. The simplistic elegance of this design is symbolic of Rietveld’s style, maximizing comfort, functionality, and style without wasting space. Crafted in solid pine with a water-based lacquered finish in different color options, the Crate Lounge Chair is suitable for various indoor and outdoor settings. Optional seat cushions in selected textiles can be added for extra comfort.
