Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Installation of the Milano Arvo Thermostatic Shower set should be performed by a qualified plumber to ensure all connections are secure and the system operates safely and efficiently. Ensure water supplies are turned off before commencing installation.
Compatibility:
This shower system is compatible with all types of plumbing systems, including conventional gravity-fed, pumped gravity, combination boiler, and unvented high-pressure systems. However, it is recommended to check your existing plumbing for suitability and adequate water pressure.
Care:
To maintain the chrome finish and functionality:
- Cleaning the Valve and Fixtures: Wipe daily with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Cleaning the Shower Head: The silicone nozzles can be cleaned by gently rubbing them with a finger or a soft cloth to dislodge any limescale. For more significant buildup, a mild descaling solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water.
- Diverter Maintenance: Periodically check the diverter mechanism for smooth operation. If it becomes stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to the moving parts (consult a plumber if unsure).
- Annual Check: It is advisable to have the shower system checked annually by a qualified plumber to ensure optimal performance and safety.
