Full details
The Really Useful 62 Litre Nestable Box is an essential storage solution for homeowners and office managers who need a robust, high-capacity container for organizing bulky items. Its primary strength lies in its durable construction and secure locking mechanism, which ensures contents remain protected from dust and debris; however, users should note that the grey opaque finish prevents visual identification of contents without opening the box or using external labeling.

FAQs
Are these boxes waterproof?
The boxes are designed to be dust-resistant and splash-proof due to the locking lid, but they are not airtight or fully submersible.
Can I stack these when they are full?
Yes, the 62L Really Useful box is specifically designed to be stackable when full, provided the weight is distributed evenly.
Is the plastic BPA-free?
Yes, these storage boxes are manufactured using high-quality, safe, and durable materials suitable for home and office storage.
What are the dimensions of the box?
The box is designed for a 62L capacity; for specific measurements, check the base footprint to ensure it fits your intended shelving or floor space.
Can these be used in a garage or shed?
Yes, their durable construction allows them to be used in outbuildings, though they should be kept off the ground if the floor is prone to dampness.
Troubleshooting
Locking handles feel loose or won't click shut
Ensure the lid is perfectly centered on the base; check for any debris in the lid channels that might prevent a full seal.
Difficulty nesting empty boxes
Verify that all items have been removed and there are no plastic burrs or deformities; if the boxes have been under extreme heat, allow them to return to room temperature before attempting to nest.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Generous 62-litre internal capacity
- Secure locking handles prevent accidental spills
- Nestable design saves storage space when empty
- Robust UK-manufactured construction
- Stackable to maximize vertical space
Cons
- Opaque finish makes identifying contents difficult without labels
- Large footprint may not fit under all furniture types
- Rigid plastic can be prone to cracking if heavily overloaded and dropped
Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Setup: To use, align the lid correctly over the base, then push the locking handles upward until they click firmly into the recessed grooves on the lid.
- Compatibility: These boxes are compatible with other 62L boxes from the Really Useful range, allowing for uniform stacking and organization.
- Care: Clean the unit using a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can dull or scratch the plastic surface. Ensure the box is completely dry before storing items, especially fabrics, to prevent mold or mildew.
