Full details
The Vitra Uten.Silo RE is an iconic wall storage solution designed by Dorothee Becker, perfectly suited for those who appreciate mid-century design combined with modern sustainability. It excels at decluttering offices, kitchens, workshops, and bathrooms by providing a structured home for small everyday objects. The primary caveat for potential users is its fixed size, which requires a dedicated wall area measuring 67 cm by 87 cm to ensure proper installation and visibility.

The Uten.Silo series is periodically produced in various colors; check the current product catalog for available options.
Troubleshooting
Unit feels unstable on the wall
Verify that all mounting screws are properly tightened and that you have used wall anchors appropriate for your wall material.
Surface marks or scuffs on the ABS plastic
Gently clean with a mild soap solution and a microfiber cloth; avoid heavy scrubbing.
Items slipping out of hooks
Ensure the items hanging on the metal clips are positioned so their weight distribution is centered, preventing them from sliding off.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installing the Uten.Silo RE requires a flat, stable wall surface. Given the weight of the unit and the items it will hold, ensure you use the appropriate wall anchors for your specific wall type (drywall, brick, or concrete). When mounting, use a spirit level to ensure the unit is perfectly vertical to maintain the aesthetic integrity of the design. To care for your Uten.Silo, wipe it down periodically with a damp, soft cloth to remove dust. Avoid using abrasive sponges or harsh chemical cleaners, as these may scratch the recycled ABS surface. Ensure the unit is mounted away from direct, high-heat sources to maintain the long-term structural integrity of the plastic.
