FAQs

Can the cotton lining be machine washed?

Yes, the white cotton lining can typically be machine washed on a gentle cycle, but we recommend air drying to prevent shrinkage.

What are the exact dimensions of the small basket?

The small basket measures 33cm in length, 20cm in width, and 17cm in height.

Is this basket suitable for use in a damp bathroom?

While it can be used for dry items in a bathroom, it is not recommended for high-humidity areas or direct water exposure as it may affect the willow.

Are there larger sizes available in this range?

Yes, the Red Hamper collection includes medium, large, and extra-large sizes, as well as a set of four.

Does the colour look exactly like the photos?

The product features a grey wash finish, but as willow is a natural material, the way it absorbs the stain can vary slightly, making each basket unique.

Troubleshooting

Lining appears wrinkled

Remove the liner and use a cool iron to smooth out the cotton fabric before re-attaching.

Basket feels slightly wobbly on a flat surface

Willow is a flexible natural material; gently apply pressure to the base to re-align the weave or place a small felt pad under the shorter corner.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Durable, high-quality double-steamed willow
  • Stylish and modern grey wash aesthetic
  • Includes a washable, removable cotton lining
  • Easy to transport with integrated side handles

Cons

  • Slight dimensional variations due to natural material
  • Small size may not hold bulkier household items
  • Willow material requires protection from excessive moisture

Setup, Compatibility & Care

No assembly is required for this product; simply remove the packaging and place it in your chosen location. The removable cotton liner is designed for easy maintenance; if it becomes soiled, gently remove it and wash according to standard textile care guidelines. To keep the willow frame in peak condition, dust it regularly with a soft, dry cloth or a brush attachment on a vacuum. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can damage the grey wash finish. Because it is a natural product, avoid placing it in direct, prolonged sunlight, which may cause the wood to fade or become brittle over time.
