The FloPlast Mini Gutter Downpipe Bend is an essential component for DIY enthusiasts and property owners managing rainwater on small-scale structures like sheds, garages, and summer houses. Its primary benefit is providing a precise 92.5-degree angle to ensure smooth water flow within compact drainage layouts, though it is specifically engineered for 50mm mini-gutter systems and is not compatible with standard domestic 112mm guttering.

No, the component features a push-fit design that does not require solvent cement or adhesives.
This bend is set at a fixed 92.5-degree angle.
While the finish is durable, painting is generally not recommended as it may affect the fit and the factory finish.
You will likely only need a hacksaw to cut the downpipe to the required length and a file to smooth the cut edges.
Ensure the pipe is pushed fully into the bend fitting and that no debris is preventing a flush seal.
Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the pipe end and ensure the pipe end is properly deburred.
Verify that you are using 50mm mini-gutter piping, as the component will not fit standard 112mm or other domestic downpipe sizes.
Installation requires a standard hacksaw if you need to trim your downpipe to size. Ensure the cut end of the pipe is deburred with a file for a smooth entry into the bend. No solvent cement is required for the connection, as the joint is designed to be a friction-fit. To maintain the system, periodically flush the guttering to remove leaves and debris that could cause blockages within the bend. To clean the exterior, simply use a soft cloth with mild soapy water; avoid abrasive scrubbers that may scratch the Anthracite Grey finish.
