Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, ensure you have the necessary tools for your project, including scissors or a rotary cutter, pins, a sewing machine suitable for knit fabrics, and matching thread.
- Compatibility: This fabric is compatible with standard sewing machines, but a ballpoint needle is recommended to prevent snags. Use a stretch stitch or a zig-zag stitch for best results.
- Cutting: When cutting, consider the direction of the stripes and plan your pattern pieces accordingly. Using a rotary cutter and a cutting mat can help ensure accurate cuts.
- Care: Wash the fabric at 40 degrees Celsius. Tumble drying is not recommended; air drying is best to preserve the fabric's stretch and color. Iron on a low setting if necessary.
