FAQs

Does this cable transmit audio?

No, this cable only transmits video signals. A separate audio cable is required for sound.

What is the length of the cable?

The cable is 1.5 meters long.

What is the difference between DVI-D, DVI-I, and DVI-A?

DVI-D is digital-only, DVI-I can carry both digital and analog signals, and DVI-A is analog only. This cable only works with the digital part of a DVI-I signal.

What devices are compatible with this cable?

This cable is compatible with devices that have DVI-D or HDMI ports, such as PCs, laptops, TVs, projectors, and monitors.

Are the connectors gold-plated?

Yes, the connectors are gold-plated for improved signal transfer and corrosion resistance.

What if my display does not support the resolution?

If your display does not support the resolution sent from the source device, you may not see a picture. Ensure both devices support the same resolution and refresh rate or adjust the output settings on your source device.

How do I connect the audio?

You will need to use a separate audio cable. Common options include a 3.5mm jack to jack cable, a 3.5mm jack to 2 phono cables, or an optical cable depending on your devices.

Troubleshooting

No picture on the display

Ensure both devices are powered on and the input source on the display is correctly selected. Check the cable connections at both ends.

Poor video quality

Verify that both devices support the same resolution and refresh rate. Try a different HDMI cable to rule out cable issues.

No sound

This cable does not transmit audio. You will need a separate audio cable (e.g., 3.5mm jack to jack, jack to 2 phono, or optical cable) to transmit the sound.

Cable doesn't fit

Verify the correct port types, this cable is for DVI-D only, not DVI-A

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Identify the DVI-D port on your source device (e.g., PC) and the HDMI port on your display (e.g., monitor or TV).
  2. Connect the DVI-D connector to the DVI-D port on your source device.
  3. Connect the HDMI connector to the HDMI port on your display.
  4. Power on both devices.
  5. Select the correct input source on your display (e.g., HDMI1, HDMI2).

Compatibility:

  • This cable is compatible with DVI-D and HDMI devices.
  • Make sure your display and source device support the same video resolution.
  • It will work with DVI-I, but only the digital signal will pass through

Care:

  • Handle the cable with care to avoid damage to the connectors or the cable itself.
  • Unplug the cable by pulling on the connector, not the cable.
  • Store the cable in a clean, dry place when not in use.
