The Hailea Round Airstone (100mm) is designed for aquarium hobbyists, pond owners, and hydroponic growers looking to optimize dissolved oxygen levels in their water systems. Its primary benefit is the generation of fine, consistent bubbles that ensure even aeration throughout your tank or reservoir, promoting the health of fish and plant root systems. However, users should be aware that this airstone requires a compatible air pump and appropriate tubing to function, neither of which is included in the package.

Yes, the ceramic material is chemically inert and suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater setups.
No, both the air pump and the necessary airline tubing must be purchased separately.
Cleaning frequency depends on your water quality. If you notice significantly fewer bubbles, it is time for a vinegar soak.
Yes, the robust design of the 100mm Hailea Airstone is capable of handling high-volume airflow from most standard hobbyist air pumps.
The nozzle is designed to fit standard 4mm/5mm airline tubing commonly used in the aquarium industry.
Ensure the stone is positioned perfectly level; trapped air inside the housing can also be cleared by briefly disconnecting and reconnecting the tubing.
Mineral deposits or bio-film have likely clogged the ceramic pores. Perform a deep cleaning with a vinegar soak and soft brush.
This often indicates backpressure because the airstone is clogged or the tubing is kinked. Clear any blockages or clean the stone.
To set up the Hailea Round Airstone, simply connect one end of a standard 4mm or 5mm flexible silicone airline tube to the stone's nozzle and the other to your aquarium air pump. It is highly recommended to use a check valve between the pump and the stone to prevent water backflow during power outages. For care, periodically soak the airstone in a mild vinegar solution for 15-20 minutes if you notice a decrease in bubble size or consistency, then rinse thoroughly with dechlorinated water before returning it to your system.
