Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before first use, wash the pot with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge to remove any dust from packaging. While the pot is induction, gas, and electric compatible, always lift the pot when moving it across glass or induction surfaces to avoid scratching the hob.
To prolong the life of your Dutch oven, avoid using metal utensils that could chip or scratch the vitreous enamel interior; silicone or wooden spoons are highly recommended. Always allow the pot to cool down completely before washing it in cold water to prevent thermal shock, which can cause the enamel to crack. Hand washing with mild dish soap is the only recommended cleaning method, as dishwashers can dull the exterior finish and damage the enamel over time.
