Product Information
Full details
The Cult Tackle DPM Boat Protection Mat is an essential accessory for serious carp anglers who rely on bait boats to deliver rigs and bait. It is designed to provide a secure, scratch-free surface for placing your electronics on the bank, protecting your investment from gravel and hard ground. While the 3cm thick padding offers excellent cushioning, users should note that it is intended for surface protection and does not provide buoyancy or water-tight transport for the boat itself.

FAQs
Will this fit my bait boat?
The mat measures 64cm x 37cm, which is designed to fit the vast majority of bait boats on the market.
Is the mat waterproof?
The mat features a protective outer layer, but it is primarily designed for impact protection and is not intended to be used as a waterproof cover.
Can I leave the mat outside in the rain?
While durable, it is recommended to keep the mat dry to maintain the longevity of the materials.
Does it come with pegs?
No, standard bank sticks or pegs are required to utilize the D-ring anchoring points.
How do I clean it?
Wipe with a damp cloth after use and allow it to air dry fully before packing it away.
Troubleshooting
Mat sliding on wet grass or mud
Ensure that the D-ring pegging points are fully secured with sturdy bank sticks or metal pegs to anchor the unit firmly to the ground.
Dirt buildup on the material
Use a soft brush to remove dried mud; for stubborn stains, spot clean with mild soapy water and let it air dry completely.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-density 3cm padding protects sensitive boat hulls
- D-ring pegging points ensure stability in wind
- Large surface area fits most popular bait boat models
- Durable construction withstands rough bankside environments
- Matches existing Cult Tackle DPM gear
Cons
- Does not protect the boat from rain or water ingress
- Requires separate pegs for the anchoring points
- Larger size may take up extra space in a barrow
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the mat, clear a small patch of ground and secure the D-rings using pegs pushed firmly into the soil. The mat is designed for direct compatibility with the Cult Tackle DPM Deluxe Boat Bag, allowing you to fold it or store it alongside your boat during transit. To maintain the mat, simply brush off loose dirt or wipe down the surface with a damp cloth after your session. Allow it to air dry thoroughly before storing it in a bag to prevent odor or moisture buildup inside your gear kit.
