Liberon Quick Drying Tung Oil is designed for woodworkers and DIY enthusiasts seeking a high-quality, protective finish for both interior and exterior timber surfaces. Its primary benefit is a rapid four-hour recoat time, which significantly speeds up project completion compared to traditional, slow-curing oils. While it provides a durable, moisture-resistant matte finish, users should be aware that it requires multiple coats for maximum protection and must be cleaned up using white spirit rather than soap and water.

The ambient temperature may be too low or the wood was oversaturated; wipe away excess oil with a clean cloth and allow more time to cure.
Ensure the oil is wiped off uniformly after penetration; if streaks persist, lightly sand the surface once dry and apply a thinner, more even coat.
Clean tools immediately after use with white spirit to prevent the oil from hardening in the bristles.
Before applying the oil, ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or previous finishes. Sand the wood surface until smooth and remove all sanding dust. Apply the oil using a lint-free cloth or a brush, working in the direction of the wood grain. Allow the oil to penetrate for a few minutes and wipe off any excess. Wait four hours before applying the next coat. For final protection, allow the piece to cure for 24 hours. To maintain the finish, simply clean with a damp cloth and reapply oil as needed depending on usage intensity. Clean all brushes and cloths with white spirit immediately after use.
