Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the toilet cistern is empty and the water supply is turned off.
- Access the inside of the cistern. Unscrew the existing cistern lever from the outside.
- Remove the old lever and its washer/nut assembly.
- Insert the Bristan Prism lever through the cistern hole from the outside.
- Inside the cistern, attach the connecting rod to the lever arm.
- Secure the lever on the outside using the provided nut and washer. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
- Reconnect the cistern's water supply and test the flush.
Compatibility:
This cistern lever is designed for use with specific toilet cisterns. Its dimensions (102mm x 32mm x 145mm) and the nature of its internal connecting rod mean it is best suited for cisterns that accommodate these measurements and have a standard flushing mechanism.
Care:
To maintain the chrome finish, clean the lever regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing and drying with a soft cloth.
