Carlube EP 80W-90 is designed for vehicle owners and mechanics seeking a reliable, heavy-duty lubricant for manual transmissions and axles that require API GL-5 performance. Its primary benefit is the inclusion of advanced sulfur-phosphorus additives that protect drivetrain components under high stress, though users must verify their vehicle's specific viscosity requirements to ensure compatibility before application.

This oil uses extreme pressure additives that may be aggressive toward certain yellow metals. Please check your manual to see if your transmission specifically requires non-EP or yellow-metal safe lubricants.
No. This product is formulated specifically for gearboxes and axles and is not suitable for internal combustion engines.
This is an API GL-5 product. While some GL-5 oils are backward compatible, you must verify this against your vehicle's manual.
Follow the service intervals specified in your vehicle's maintenance manual, as gear oil life depends heavily on driving conditions and load.
It is generally recommended to drain and flush the system to ensure maximum performance, though mixing with oils of the same specification is usually technically possible.
Verify that your vehicle's transmission requires 80W-90 viscosity; if the manufacturer calls for a thinner oil, this may be too viscous for the application.
Check that the correct fill level was achieved and inspect the gears for mechanical damage that may have occurred prior to the fluid change.
Before performing a fluid change, consult your vehicle manufacturer's handbook to confirm that 80W-90 viscosity and API GL-5 specifications are recommended for your specific drivetrain. To apply, ensure the vehicle is on a level surface, drain the old lubricant completely, and fill the housing until the fluid reaches the fill-plug level. Always dispose of used oil at a designated recycling center. Store containers in a cool, dry place and ensure caps are tightened securely to prevent contamination or moisture ingress.
