Yes, they are manufactured specifically for standard 2x42 inch belt sander configurations.
Use a rubber sanding belt cleaner stick to safely remove dust and resin from the abrasive surface.
Silicon carbide is an excellent choice for grinding stainless steel due to its hardness and ability to withstand high heat.
Adjust the tracking knob on the machine while the motor is running at a low speed until the belt runs centered.
Use a dedicated abrasive cleaning stick to remove buildup, or reduce the pressure applied to the workpiece.
Check if the belt is installed in the correct direction; if the issue persists, ensure there is no debris trapped between the wheel and the belt.
Installation is straightforward: ensure your sander is disconnected from power before releasing the tension arm. Slide the 2x42 inch belt over the drive and tracking wheels, ensuring the seam is flat. Once seated, adjust the tracking knob while spinning the belt by hand to keep it centered. To maximize longevity, avoid excessive pressure; let the silicon carbide grit do the work. After use, store belts in a climate-controlled, dry environment to prevent the backing from absorbing ambient moisture, which can weaken the bond between the grit and the belt fabric.
