Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, always ensure the tumble dryer is completely disconnected from the power supply. Accessing the motor housing usually requires removing the back or side panel of your specific unit. Locate the existing capacitor—typically a cylindrical component attached to the motor—and note the wiring orientation before swapping it for the new part. Compatibility includes models such as 727, 757, 767, 4317, 8317, 427WV, 44AW, and 76AW. Because capacitors store an electrical charge, it is recommended to discharge the old unit with an insulated screwdriver before handling. Keep the area around the motor free of lint and debris to ensure the new capacitor remains cool during operation.
