Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Smeg 90cm Induction Hob is designed for built-in installation. Ensure you have the correct dimensions for your countertop cutout. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper electrical connections.
Compatibility
- Cookware: Only use cookware that is induction-compatible. This typically means pots and pans with a magnetic base. You can test this by placing a magnet on the bottom of your cookware; if it sticks, it's compatible.
- Power Supply: Verify that your electrical supply meets the hob's voltage and frequency requirements (220-240V, 50/60 Hz). A dedicated circuit is recommended.
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the hob surface with a soft, damp cloth after each use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrub pads, which can scratch the glass.
- Spills: Clean spills immediately to prevent them from burning onto the surface. Use a hob scraper for stubborn residues.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the hob for any signs of damage. Do not use the hob if the glass surface is cracked or damaged.
