The 661 Evo Compression Shorts are designed for adult riders who demand elite-level impact protection without sacrificing the freedom of movement necessary for technical cycling. Featuring advanced D3O technology, these shorts offer superior safety for the hips, thighs, and coccyx, making them ideal for high-intensity mountain biking; however, they may feel slightly warmer than standard cycling liners due to the integrated padding and protective foam layers.

Yes, the D3O hip pads are fully removable for easy washing or to adjust the level of protection.
While the fabric can be machine washed on a gentle cycle, it is highly recommended to hand wash to prolong the lifespan of the chamois and foam padding.
Yes, the shorts include laminated EVA foam specifically positioned for coccyx (tailbone) protection.
It is a connection system by 661 that allows you to attach your protective gear together, ensuring pads remain securely in their intended position.
Yes, the multi-density foam chamois is designed for comfort during long durations in the saddle.
Ensure the waistband is snug and utilize the PADLOCK connection points if worn with compatible outer shorts.
Ensure you are using moisture-wicking outer shorts and check that the garment is not sized too tightly, which can restrict airflow.
For the best fit, ensure the shorts are worn directly against the skin to allow the compression fabric to manage moisture effectively. The PADLOCK Connection System works best when paired with compatible 661 gear, allowing for a seamless integration of protective components. To clean, always remove the D3O hip inserts first. Hand wash the shorts in cold water with mild detergent and hang to dry. Never use bleach or fabric softeners, as these can degrade the moisture-managing properties of the chamois and the integrity of the compression fabric.
