The WORKPRO 190 mm Wire Rope Cutter is an essential precision tool for professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts who require clean, burr-free cuts on various cabling materials. Its primary advantage lies in its drop-forged Cr-V steel construction and high-leverage design, which makes cutting through hardened materials feel effortless. However, users should note that the tool is strictly designed for wire and soft cable cutting; attempting to cut non-cable steel or exceeding the maximum diameter capacity may lead to blade damage.

No. This tool is designed for steel and stainless steel wire rope, not high-tensile spring steel or piano wire, which can chip the hardened jaws.
The cutter is rated for copper and aluminum cable up to 5mm in diameter.
The tool is treated during manufacturing, but we recommend applying a light coat of oil periodically to keep the action smooth.
The jaws are heat-treated for hardness. Attempting to sharpen them with standard files may remove the hardened layer and decrease tool life.
No. The handles are ergonomic for leverage, not insulated for high-voltage electrical protection.
Ensure the wire is fully seated within the throat of the jaws and use a swift, firm squeeze rather than a slow, hesitant action.
Check the expansion spring for debris and apply a small amount of machine oil to the pivot screw.
Clear any metal dust from the locking groove and ensure the handles are fully closed before sliding the lock into place.
No complex setup is required. To maintain the tool:
