They feature a galvanised finish for corrosion resistance, making them suitable for marine environments and other applications where exposure to the elements is a concern.
Specifications:
Product Code: SFCOMG05
Product Weight: 0.14kg
Quantity: 10
Dimensions:
A = 13MM
B = 6.2MM
C = 11MM
D = 4.6MM
E = 23.8MM
F = 9.2MM
G = 22MM
These grips are manufactured from mild steel with a galvanised coating for corrosion resistance. The main use of these grips is to create loops of wire in a rope assembly or when a temporary join is needed.
Notes on assembly and use:
1. Prior to fitting, the threads on the nuts and bolts should be well greased.
2. Spacing between the grips should be at least 6 times the diameter of the rope.
3. Ensure the grip is always orientated correctly, the 'u' bolt should be placed on the unloaded end of the rope.
4. Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings.
5. Leave unused for 24 hours and check torque setting again, re-tighten if necessary.
6. After the first application of the load, re-check torque setting, re-tighten if necessary.
7. During service, periodically check the torque setting.
