Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Choose Anchor Points: Identify sturdy structures (e.g., strong posts, existing buildings, trees) at each corner where you intend to attach the shade sail. Ensure these points are capable of withstanding tension.
- Measure and Plan: Determine the desired angle and tension. Shade sails typically require a slope to allow water runoff.
- Attach D Rings: Use appropriate hardware (e.g., carabiners, turnbuckles, eye bolts – not included) to connect the stainless steel D rings on the sail to your chosen anchor points.
- Tensioning: Adjust the hardware to achieve firm, even tension across the sail. Avoid over-tensioning, which can damage the fabric or anchor points.
Compatibility:
This shade sail is designed to attach to various secure anchor points. Ensure any hardware used for installation is compatible with your chosen structures and the sail's D rings (Grade 304 stainless steel is standard).
Care:
- Cleaning: The sail is machine washable at 40 degrees Celsius. For routine cleaning, use a damp cloth or a soft brush with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the tension and anchor points. In strong winds or forecasts of heavy rain, it is advisable to take the sail down to prevent damage to the sail or surrounding structures.
- Storage: Store the shade sail dry and clean in a protected area when not in use for extended periods.
