Troubleshooting
Coolant level drops rapidly
Check for leaks in hoses, radiator, water pump, and head gasket. If a leak is found, it must be repaired before refilling the system.
Engine overheating
Ensure the coolant is at the correct level and concentration. Check the thermostat, radiator fan, and water pump for proper operation. A blockage in the radiator or heater core may also cause overheating.
Coolant turning brown or rusty
This can indicate corrosion within the cooling system. It's recommended to perform a full coolant flush and refill with the appropriate type of antifreeze.
