Product Information

Full details

The Dexil Nervous Adjustable Dog Collar is designed for pet owners whose dogs require extra space and personal distance during walks in public. This high-quality, durable collar features clearly embroidered 'NERVOUS' wording, providing a proactive communication tool to help prevent unwanted interactions or accidents with strangers and other dogs. While it effectively alerts the public to your dog's temperament, it is important to remember that it acts as an informative aid rather than a replacement for active supervision and responsible leash handling.

FAQs

What size range does this collar cover?

This specific collar fits neck sizes between 38cm and 64cm (15-25 inches).

Is the embroidery durable?

Yes, the text is professionally embroidered directly into the nylon, making it far more durable than printed alternatives.

Can I use this collar with a leash?

Yes, the collar features a sturdy 'D' ring designed for attaching a lead.

Does the hardware rust?

The collar is built with anti-corrosion hardware to protect against rust and environmental damage.

Are there other products in this range?

Yes, Dexil offers a full system including leads, harnesses, and coats that share the same color-coded communication system.

Troubleshooting

Buckle is difficult to adjust

Ensure the nylon strap is not twisted and that there is no debris in the sliding mechanism. Move the slider back and forth to loosen it.

Embroidery appears dirty or dull

Use a soft brush with mild soap and water to gently clean the embroidered area, then rinse and air dry.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Clearly communicates dog's needs to strangers
Durable, long-lasting nylon material
Corrosion-resistant hardware prevents rust
Highly adjustable sizing for growing or different-sized dogs
Professional, embroidered text that does not peel or fade

Cons

Requires public awareness of the color-coding system
Does not replace the need for physical control or training
Hand-wash recommended to preserve embroidery

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure a proper fit, measure your dog's neck snugly, allowing enough space for two fingers to slide underneath the collar comfortably. Adjust the slider until the fit is secure but not constrictive.

For maintenance, it is recommended to hand wash the collar in warm, soapy water and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the nylon or affect the color integrity of the embroidery. Regularly inspect the buckle and the 'D' ring for any signs of extreme wear, especially if your dog is a heavy puller, to ensure the structural integrity remains sound.
