Yes, the D-C-Fix static cling film is fully removable and reusable. It leaves no residue and can be reapplied multiple times if stored carefully.
Will this film block light completely?
No, while it provides privacy and reduces glare, the film still allows light to shine through. It does not offer complete blackout.
What is the benefit of UV protection?
The 95% UV protection helps prevent fading of furniture, carpets, and artwork caused by direct sunlight, extending the life and appearance of your belongings.
Is this film suitable for car windows?
This film is designed for indoor glass surfaces like home windows and shower screens. Its suitability for car windows may vary depending on local regulations and the curvature of the glass.
How long does the film typically last?
When applied correctly and cared for properly, the film is durable and can last for an extended period. However, factors like extreme temperature fluctuations or harsh cleaning can affect its lifespan.
Can I apply this film to a curved surface?
The film is best applied to flat, smooth glass surfaces. While it has some flexibility, significant curves may lead to creasing or lifting.
Troubleshooting
Film won't stick to the glass.
Ensure the glass is perfectly clean and wet. The static side of the film must be correctly identified (the side that was against the backing paper). Re-spray the glass generously with water.
Bubbles or air pockets remain after application.
Use a squeegee or credit card to firmly push trapped air and water towards the edges of the film. For stubborn bubbles, you may need to carefully peel back that section, re-wet the glass, and reapply.
Film is lifting at the edges.
Ensure the film was not applied too close to the rubber window seal or gasket. Trim the film slightly to create a 2mm gap from the seal. Re-wet the edges and press firmly.
Difficulty removing the backing paper.
Use a piece of clear tape on a corner of the backing paper to help lift it. Ensure you are pulling the backing paper away, not the film itself.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Ensure the glass surface is thoroughly clean and smooth. Use a standard glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
Cut the film to size, allowing a small margin for trimming if needed. A ruler and cutting mat are recommended.
Remove the clear backing film. The side that was against the backing is the 'static side' that will adhere to the glass.
Generously spray the clean glass surface with water. This allows the film to glide into position.
Carefully apply the film to the wet glass, static side down.
Use an application tool (like a squeegee from a D-C-Fix kit) to smooth out the film, pushing excess water and air bubbles towards the edges.
Trim any excess film around the edges with a sharp craft knife or cutting tool.
Ensure a 2mm gap is left between the film and any window seal or rubber gasket to prevent lifting.
Compatibility:
Suitable for clean, smooth glass surfaces including windows, doors, and shower screens.
Not recommended for textured, etched, or damaged glass.
Avoid applying directly onto window seals or rubber gaskets.
Care:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and a mild household cleaner. Do not scrub the vinyl surface.
The film is heat resistant up to 75°C (167°F). Keep naked flames at least 12 inches away.
