Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Clean the Surface: Ensure the application area is thoroughly clean, dry, and free from dirt, grease, oil, or salt residue. Use a marine-grade cleaner and allow it to dry completely.
- Cut to Size: Measure and cut the tape to the desired dimensions using sharp scissors or a utility knife.
- Apply: Peel back a small section of the backing paper and carefully apply the tape, pressing down firmly as you go to avoid air bubbles.
- Ensure Adhesion: Once applied, use a roller or a firm hand to press the tape down, ensuring all edges are sealed. For critical areas, consider using a marine-grade sealant along the edges.
Compatibility:
This tape is compatible with most common marine surfaces including fiberglass, wood, metal, and painted surfaces, provided they are clean and dry.
Care:
Regular cleaning with a mild soap and water solution is recommended. Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners that could damage the tape's surface or adhesion. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
