Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Identify the area affected by rising damp. Remove any existing plaster or render down to the brickwork.
- Drilling: Drill holes horizontally into the mortar course, following the manufacturer's spacing guidelines. Use the correct drill bit size, as specified.
- Insertion: Insert the Dryrod rods into the drilled holes. Ensure they are fully inserted.
- Sealing: Seal the holes with a suitable mortar or sealant.
- Re-Plastering: Allow the wall to dry completely before replastering using a breathable render system.
Dryrod rods are compatible with most common building materials. Ensure that the materials used for replastering and sealing are compatible with the active ingredient. No specific care is required after installation, but monitor for any signs of recurring damp and address promptly.
