Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The SSB 7390 is designed to be crimped or soldered onto compatible coaxial or twinax cables. Ensure you have the correct crimping tools or soldering equipment for the specific cable type you are using. Carefully strip the cable according to the connector's requirements, ensuring the center conductor, dielectric, and shield are prepared correctly before attaching the plug.
Compatibility: This plug is primarily compatible with other UHF female connectors. It is designed for 50 Ohm impedance systems, common in RF communications, antenna installations, and certain data transmission setups. Verify that your connected equipment and cable are also rated for 50 Ohm impedance and the UHF standard.
Care: To maintain optimal performance, keep the connector clean and free from debris. Avoid exposing the connector to excessive moisture or corrosive environments. Periodically inspect the connector for any signs of physical damage or corrosion. Cleaning can be done with a soft, dry cloth or, if necessary, a cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol, ensuring it is fully dry before use.
