Full details
Simple System Organic Lucie Pellets offer a convenient and economical feeding solution for horses. These premium 6mm organic lucerne pellets are naturally rich in calcium and protein, supporting muscle and bone health. They are ideal for feed balls and suitable for all levels of work, aiming to improve stamina. The pellets are 100% pure and free from binders, making them suitable for all equines, including those with metabolic issues. Please note that any pelleted feed carries a risk of choke; soaking until lump-free is strongly recommended. Introduce gradually over a week. Lucie Pellets are best fed soaked, or mixed with soaked PuraBeet or dampened Simple System chop. Soaking is essential for foals, greedy, elderly, or dentally challenged horses. Use 2-2.5 times their volume of water. Feed according to requirement and condition, starting with 100g per 100kg of bodyweight per day, up to a maximum of 5kg per day (e.g., 500g dry weight for a 500kg horse). Natural, seasonal variations in nutrients can occur. Typical specifications include: Oil 2-4%, Ash 7-11%, Crude Protein 16-20%, Crude Fibre 20-30%, Sugar <7%, Starch <5%, Digestible Energy 10-11 MJ/kg. Major minerals include Calcium 1.77%, Phosphorus 0.27%, Sodium 0.1%, Potassium 1.97%, Magnesium 0.2%, Chloride 0.61%, Sulphur 0.25%. Minor minerals (mg/kg) include Copper 9, Manganese 26, Zinc 26, Iron 775, Selenium 0.48.
