Full details
The Pentel iZee Retractable Ballpoint Pen is an ideal tool for students, professionals, and writers who prioritize a comfortable, skip-free writing experience. Its primary strength lies in its low-viscosity ink that flows smoothly for consistent, bold lines, though users who prefer extra-fine point pens may find the 1.0mm tip slightly broad for cramped handwriting.

FAQs
Does this pen come with black ink?
The Pentel iZee 4-pack usually comes in assorted colors; please check the packaging labels for specific ink color distributions.
Can I refill the iZee ballpoint pen?
No, the iZee is designed as a disposable retractable pen and does not support ink refills.
What is the specific line width of the 1.0mm tip?
The 1.0mm tip produces a bold 0.5mm line width.
Is the ink acid-free?
Pentel inks are generally formulated for everyday use; please refer to the specific package marking for archival-quality ratings.
Is the grip removable?
No, the honeycomb fingergrip is integrated into the pen housing to ensure it does not slip during use.
Will this work on thermal paper or receipts?
While it can write on most paper, ballpoint ink can sometimes react poorly with thermal coatings; test on a small area first.
Troubleshooting
The pen is not writing or ink is faint.
Try scribbling on a scrap piece of paper in a circular motion to re-prime the ballpoint tip.
The retractable mechanism feels stuck.
Ensure no debris is obstructing the opening at the tip and check that the clip is not catching on the barrel casing.
Ink smearing on paper.
Ensure the paper is not coated or non-porous; allow a few seconds for the ink to fully bond with the paper fibers.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin using the Pentel iZee, simply press the plunger at the top of the pen to extend the tip. No assembly is required. For optimal care, store the pen in a cool, dry place and ensure the tip is retracted when not in use to preserve the ink quality and prevent accidental marks. While the pen performs well on most standard office paper, avoid using it on glossy or overly slick surfaces, as the ink may take longer to set. Keep the pen away from extreme temperatures to maintain the consistency of the low-viscosity ink formula.
