Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the lanyard, inspect the webbing for signs of wear and ensure the adjusting buckle operates smoothly. Connect the lanyard to the designated restraint attachment point on your harness, typically marked with an 'R' or specified in your harness manual. Ensure the anchor point is rated for the required load. When not in use, store the lanyard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, chemicals, or sharp objects. Regularly clean the webbing with a mild detergent and water, then allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Never attempt to repair the lanyard yourself; if the equipment is damaged or has been subjected to excessive force, it must be removed from service immediately.
