Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installing, ensure the rim is free of debris or sharp objects that could puncture the new tube. Always slightly inflate the tube before placing it inside the tire to prevent twisting or pinching during assembly. Check that your rim is drilled for a Schrader valve; if you are unsure, the hole diameter for a Schrader valve is typically larger than that of a Presta valve. For long-term care, periodically check your tire pressure every few weeks, as smaller tires naturally lose pressure faster than larger ones. Keep a spare tube in your bike bag or home toolkit, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent the rubber from degrading prematurely.
