Troubleshooting
Water soaking into the fabric instead of beading off
The Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating may need re-application; use a specialized reproofing spray.
Zipper sticking or difficult to pull
Clean any debris or grit from the zipper track and ensure the fabric is not caught in the teeth.
Jacket feels cold in windy conditions
Ensure the child is wearing appropriate insulating layers underneath, as the jacket is a shell, not an insulated garment.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of the waterproof material, follow these care guidelines:
- Washing: Use a gentle, cool machine cycle with a non-biological detergent.
- Avoid Softeners: Do not use fabric softeners as they can break down the waterproof coating.
- Drying: Air dry the jacket in a shaded area; avoid high-heat tumble drying which can damage the seams.
- Storage: Ensure the jacket is completely dry before folding it for storage to prevent mildew buildup.
- Layering: Wear this over a fleece or thermal base layer if using the jacket during colder days to compensate for the lack of internal padding.
