FAQs

How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

Charging time depends on the power source, but generally requires several hours using a standard USB output.

Can the lantern and bug killer be used simultaneously?

Yes, both functions operate independently or together based on your requirements.

Is the bug killer safe to touch?

The high-voltage grid is internal, but you should never insert fingers or objects into the unit while it is powered on.

Does it require a specific type of cleaning?

Simply use the included small brush to gently clear dead insects from the interior grid after each use.

Can I use this device outdoors without a bivvy?

It is intended for sheltered spaces; exposed outdoor conditions will significantly reduce its effectiveness and may risk moisture damage.

Troubleshooting

The device does not turn on even after charging.

Verify the charging cable is securely inserted into the micro USB port and ensure the power source is active.

Remote control is unresponsive.

Ensure there is a direct line of sight between the remote and the unit and check the remote's internal battery.

Reduced performance in trapping insects.

Clean the internal grid with the provided brush to remove buildup that may be insulating the high-voltage elements.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure peak performance, fully charge the device using the supplied micro USB cable before your first use. The unit can be easily positioned using the integrated folding hanger, which fits most standard bivvy hooks and tension bars. For maintenance, use the included cleaning brush to remove trapped debris from the internal grid periodically. Always ensure the device is kept dry, as it is designed for indoor (bivvy) use rather than direct exposure to harsh weather conditions. When storing, ensure the unit is powered off and placed in a dry, ventilated area to preserve battery health.
