FAQs

Are these darts suitable for beginners?

Yes, they are an excellent choice for beginners and intermediate players who want high-quality equipment to build their technique.

What is the weight of these barrels?

Each barrel in this set weighs 22g.

Are the flights replaceable?

Yes, the flights use a standard slot system and can be replaced with any standard-sized dart flight.

Can I use different shafts with these barrels?

Yes, the barrels use a standard 2BA thread, making them compatible with most aftermarket shafts.

Does this set include a case?

The set includes the two sets of barrels, shafts, and flights; a storage case is typically sold separately unless otherwise noted.

Why are these made of brass instead of tungsten?

Brass is used to provide an accessible, high-performance dart for players who appreciate the specific weight and feel of larger barrels.

Troubleshooting

Flight keeps falling out during flight

Ensure the flight is pushed fully into the shaft slot; you can use a small flight protector or slightly tighten the shaft ring if equipped.

Dart frequently bounces out of the board

Check if the dart tip is blunt and sharpen it if necessary. Ensure you are throwing with enough velocity to penetrate the sisal.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-quality brass finish with signature player branding
Excellent balance for improved grouping
Includes two distinct sets for versatile gameplay
Durable construction suitable for frequent practice
Includes professional-grade Prism Delta flights

Cons

Brass barrels are naturally wider than tungsten counterparts
May require more frequent flight replacement compared to integrated systems
Fixed weight at 22g may not suit all throwing styles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setting up your Winmau darts is straightforward: simply press the Prism Delta flights firmly into the slots on the nylon shafts. To maintain the set, ensure your dartboard is in good condition; brass darts are durable, but blunt tips can damage the board, so we recommend using a standard sharpening stone if you notice the points becoming dull. Store the darts in a case when not in use to protect the shafts and flights from bending. These barrels are compatible with all standard 2BA threads, allowing you to easily swap out shafts or flight shapes if you choose to customize your setup in the future.
