Designed for homeowners and gardeners dealing with lawn damage, these Heterorhabditis bacteriophora nematodes are ideal for those seeking a biological, chemical-free way to eradicate chafer grubs. By targeting the larvae that feast on grass roots, this solution helps restore turf health and reduces secondary damage from foraging birds and mammals; however, it requires precise soil temperature conditions and consistent moisture to be fully effective, making it a seasonal and time-sensitive treatment.

Yes, these are natural organisms and are safe for humans, pets, and wildlife, as they target only the specific larvae.
You should keep the lawn damp for at least two weeks following the application to allow the nematodes to move effectively through the soil.
No, these are live, perishable products and must be stored in the refrigerator upon arrival.
No, they are specifically targeted at the larvae of chafer grubs and will not affect beneficial insects like earthworms.
Application is best during the growing season when soil temperatures are consistently above 8°C to 10°C, typically matching the active grub cycle.
Ensure they are kept in a refrigerator until the last possible moment before application to maintain viability.
Check that soil moisture levels were consistently high; dry soil prevents nematodes from moving toward the grubs.
Wait for a warmer period, as the nematodes will be inactive in cold soil.
Because this is a live biological product, timing and storage are critical. Store the package in your refrigerator immediately upon delivery. To apply, ensure the soil is thoroughly moist before and after application to facilitate nematode movement. You must maintain this soil moisture for at least two weeks post-application to ensure the nematodes reach the target larvae successfully. Do not apply during extreme heat or when the ground is frozen, as this will render the product ineffective.
