Always verify your pressure washer's existing capacitor specifications (uF rating, voltage, and physical dimensions) before purchase.
Setup: Warning: Installation involves working with electrical components. If you are not comfortable or experienced with electrical repairs, seek assistance from a qualified technician.
- Disconnect Power: Ensure the pressure washer is unplugged from the power source and any residual pressure is released.
- Access Motor Housing: Remove the necessary covers or panels to access the motor and its internal components.
- Locate Old Capacitor: Identify the existing start run capacitor.
- Disconnect Wires: Carefully note the wiring connections and disconnect the wires from the old capacitor terminals.
- Remove Old Capacitor: Detach the old capacitor from its mounting.
- Install New Capacitor: Mount the new 25uF capacitor in the same location.
- Connect Wires: Reconnect the wires to the new capacitor's terminals, ensuring correct polarity if applicable (though start capacitors are typically non-polarized).
- Reassemble: Replace all covers and panels.
- Test: Reconnect power and test the pressure washer.
Care: This is a non-serviceable electrical component. Ensure it is kept dry and free from excessive dust or debris within the motor housing. Regular maintenance of the pressure washer, such as cleaning filters and ensuring proper ventilation, will help prolong the life of all components, including the capacitor.
