Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the JT Premium Drive Belt requires the removal of the CVT cover and the use of a variator locking tool to secure the pulley during nut removal. Ensure the transmission housing is thoroughly cleaned of old belt dust before installing the new belt. Once installed, avoid aggressive wide-open throttle maneuvers for the first 25–50 miles to allow the belt to wear evenly against the variator and clutch pulleys. Periodically inspect the belt for signs of fraying or narrowing every 3,000 miles to ensure peak performance.
