Full details
Fjuka Hookable Pop Ups are designed for carp and F1 anglers who need a versatile, highly buoyant bait that simplifies rig preparation. Infused with David Preston's unique Sensate fish accelerant, these 8mm baits offer a quick-release scent profile that draws fish in rapidly. While they are incredibly convenient for direct hooking or hair-rigging, they require careful handling to maintain their buoyancy in deep, weedy water for extended periods.

FAQs
Can these be used for winter fishing?
Yes, the Sensate accelerant is designed to be highly effective in all water temperatures, including cold winter conditions.
Are these suitable for hair rigs?
Absolutely. They can be hair-rigged using a bait band or a quick-stop system.
How many baits come in a pot?
Each pot contains approximately 80 hookable 8mm pop-ups.
Do I need to store these in the fridge?
No, they have a 12-month shelf life and just need to be stored in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed.
Can I flavor these with my own dips?
While they are already infused with Sensate, you can dip them; however, note that additional liquids may soften the bait material.
Are they safe for all commercial fisheries?
Yes, they are generally accepted, but always check your specific fishery rules regarding bait types.
Troubleshooting
Bait falling off the hook during cast
Ensure you are using a slightly smaller hook or a dedicated bait spike rather than forcing the hook through the bait multiple times.
Bait is not buoyant enough
Check your hook size; if the hook is too heavy, the buoyancy of an 8mm bait may be neutralized. Try using a lighter, thinner wire hook.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely versatile hookable design
- High-attract Sensate infusion for faster bites
- Multiple color options in every pot
- Long-lasting 12-month shelf life
- Convenient 8mm size for varied fishing styles
Cons
- May require buoyancy testing in heavy weed
- Scent profile is strong, requiring tightly sealed storage
- Soft texture requires gentle casting to avoid dislodgement
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best results, hook the bait directly through the center if using a small hook, or use a bait spike for faster changes. Because the material is soft, avoid over-tightening your hair stop or bait band.
- Storage: Keep the lid sealed tightly after every session. The Sensate formula is potent, and the bait will remain fresh for 12 months if kept in a cool, dry place.
- Compatibility: These work perfectly with standard carp hooks, wide gape hooks for pole rigs, and bait bands for hair rigs.
- Care: If you find the baits feel too soft after long exposure to humidity, briefly air-dry them for a few minutes to firm up the outer skin before casting.
