FAQs

Is this shirt suitable for machine washing?

Yes, it is machine washable, but we recommend using a cold, delicate cycle to protect the flannel fibers.

Does the flannel shrink?

Flannel can shrink if exposed to high heat. Always use a low-heat setting or air dry the garment.

Can this be worn as a jacket?

It is lightweight enough to be worn as an overshirt or 'shacket' when layered over a t-shirt.

What age group is the size 9 meant for?

The size 9 is designed to fit the average 9-year-old child; refer to the brand's size guide for specific measurements.

Is the material itchy?

No, the high-quality cotton flannel used by Polo Ralph Lauren is selected for its soft, comfortable feel.

Troubleshooting

Visible wrinkles after washing

Lightly mist the shirt with water and hang it on a hanger to air-dry; the weight of the fabric will help release minor wrinkles naturally.

Fabric feels slightly stiff

Ensure you are using a fabric softener during the rinse cycle to restore the softness of the flannel fibers.

Button appears loose

Secure the button immediately using a needle and thread in a matching color to prevent it from detaching completely.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Polo Ralph Lauren shirt maintains its shape and color, follow these care instructions:

  1. Washing: Always machine wash in cold water with like colors to prevent bleeding of the multicolor patterns.
  2. Detergent: Use a mild, color-safe detergent; avoid heavy bleach or harsh whitening agents.
  3. Drying: Air drying is highly recommended to prevent shrinkage. If using a machine, select a low-heat, delicate cycle.
  4. Ironing: Use a low-temperature iron setting to smooth out any wrinkles after laundering.
  5. Storage: Hang the shirt on a sturdy hanger to preserve the structure of the collar and shoulders.
