FAQs
Is this protector suitable for memory foam mattresses?
Yes, this protector is compatible with all mattress types, including memory foam, latex, and traditional innerspring mattresses. Its fitted design ensures a secure fit without affecting the mattress's feel.
How often should I wash the mattress protector?
It is recommended to wash the mattress protector every 1-2 months, or more frequently if needed due to spills or for individuals with allergies or specific health concerns.
Will the bamboo fabric feel cool to sleep on?
Yes, bamboo fabric is naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, which helps to regulate body temperature, keeping you cooler in summer and warmer in winter compared to many synthetic materials.
What does 'anti-allergy' mean in this context?
The bamboo fabric has natural antibacterial properties and helps to inhibit the growth of dust mites and bacteria. This creates a cleaner sleep environment, which can help alleviate allergy symptoms.
What is the depth of the fitted skirt?
The protector features a 35cm (approximately 15 inches) deep, fully elasticated stretchable skirt, designed to fit snugly on most standard mattress depths.
Can I use a mattress topper with this protector?
You can use this protector with a mattress topper, but ensure that the combined depth of the mattress and topper does not exceed the 35cm depth capacity of the protector's skirt for a secure fit.
Does the 'waterproof' feature make the protector stiff or crinkly?
The bamboo fabric is designed to be soft and noiseless. While it provides a waterproof barrier, it aims to maintain a comfortable and quiet sleeping surface.
Troubleshooting
Waterproof layer seems less effective after washing.
Ensure the protector is not over-dried on high heat, as this can damage the waterproof membrane. Check for any tears or holes in the fabric that might compromise the waterproof barrier.
Protector is not fitting snugly.
Confirm you have selected the correct size for your mattress. Ensure the elasticated skirt is fully pulled down around all sides of the mattress for a secure fit.
Fabric feels less soft than expected.
Wash the protector according to the care instructions before first use. Using a fabric softener during washing can also help maintain softness, though use sparingly to avoid compromising absorbency.
Noticeable noise when moving on the bed.
While designed to be noiseless, some slight sound might occur with very active sleepers. Ensure the protector is fitted tightly; a loose fit can sometimes cause fabric to rub and make noise. Over time and with more washes, the fabric may become quieter.
